Daily Art Challenge - Day 50 of 365 - 19th April 2025
Today’s mini comes with a side of Scottish weather drama! I ventured out for some plein air painting at a hidden Highland loch, hoping to capture its peaceful beauty surrounded by fluffy cotton-like blooms and rich purple heather.
The sun peeked through… then came the wind… then the rain… and just as I found my rhythm—hailstones!
So, it was back to the cosy holiday cottage to finish the piece, but the wild charm of the Highlands made its way onto the canvas all the same.
A true adventure in brushstrokes and weatherproofing. Would you brave the storm for a scene like this?
