Daily Art Challenge - Day 287 of 365 - 12th Dec 2025

Today felt like a sign from the universe - or at least from the woodland realms.
I woke up with a little notion whispering, “Try painting a robin again…” and then, when I opened my woodland-themed advent calendar, guess what was waiting behind the door?
A robin.
Of course it was.
And that was all the encouragement I needed.

So off I went, brush in hand, determined to give this charming little bird another try. Robins are strangely not my strongest subject (you would think they’d be easier!) but I’m actually really pleased with how today’s turned out.

Perched on a holly branch, surrounded by glossy green leaves and a sprinkle of festive red berries, this tiny winter friend feels like a sweet herald of the season — cheerful, brave, and full of Christmas spirit.

Sometimes the smallest signs lead to the loveliest things.

Perfect gift for any occasion .

All items are made in Scotland, UK

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.

Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
