Do you remember the fir tree I painted back on Day 273?
Standing tall and bare, waiting patiently to be dressed for Christmas, with its baubles tucked away in baskets at its base…
So many of you asked if we’d see it again - and I always knew we would.
Today felt like the perfect moment. This morning we went out and chose our own Christmas tree, cutting it down and bringing it home, and that simple, joyful ritual sparked today’s painting. The once-bare fir tree of Faefern forest now stands in all its festive glory, dressed with glowing lights and ornaments, ready for the season to begin.
I love the idea that trees, like stories, are never really finished - they just wait for the right moment to be revisited. And today, this majestic fir tree was finally ready to shine.

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
