Some days, you don’t need a big idea or a complicated scene — you just need something different.
When your head feels full and taking a full day off isn’t an option, a small change can be as good as a rest. So today, I let myself play. No pressure. No overthinking. Just colour, softness, and a simple word that felt right for this moment.
Joy.
Painted in pastel greens and pinks, with candy-cane stripes wrapping around the J and the Y, and a festive wreath forming the O — a quiet reminder that joy doesn’t always have to be loud or elaborate. Sometimes it’s gentle. Sometimes it’s simple. Sometimes it’s just showing up and ticking another day off the list during a busy season.
Not the most technically challenging piece, but exactly what I needed today — and maybe a little reminder we could all use in the run-up to Christmas
