Daily Art Challenge - Day 311 of 365 - 5th Jan 2026
We’ve been blessed with an incredible full moon recently -— the kind that lingers in the daytime sky, a winter-only phenomenon that always feels a little otherworldly.
On cold, crisp days like today, with bright sunshine and temperatures dipping to -5, it feels especially magical.
On my morning dog walk, I stopped at one of my favourite places - a stretch of farmland that often floods, transforming into a quiet, reflective landscape. Today it was frozen solid, the light bouncing off the ice, the moon still hanging pale and watchful above. I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos.
As I stood there, I couldn’t help but imagine the winter moon shining down at night, first fairies skating across the frozen surface, their laughter carried on the crisp air, wings sparkling under moonlight. That sense of stillness and quiet magic is exactly what I wanted to capture today - one of those moments where the real world and Faefern Forest gently overlap.
