Daily Art Challenge - Day 312 of 365 - 6th Jan 2026
A new year… and the ideas just keep sprouting.
So here’s something exciting I’ll be gently growing throughout 2026.
What if there was a set of 52 oracle-style cards, but instead of predictions, they offered art prompts?
For those moments when you’re sitting in front of a blank canvas, brushes ready… and your mind goes completely quiet.
Each card would work on its own, or together when 2–3 are drawn, layering colour, mood, technique and a little magic to guide you into creating.
Today I painted one of the Suit of Roots cards - the cards that ground your artwork and set the foundation.
🌿 Forest Greens
Paint using shades of green
Affirmation: You are supported and held.
It felt calm, steady, and reassuring to paint - like letting the forest do the holding for a while.
This feels like the beginning of something really special.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
