Daily Art Challenge - Day 165 of 365 - 12th August 2025
Only 200 days to go — and today’s piece took me somewhere completely different.
After a request from a YouTube subscriber to paint something more industrial, I decided to take on the iconic Scottish Forth Rail Bridge.
Thanks to a regular follower on Facebook for sharing some stunning reference photos — they were a huge help.
The bridge stretches strong and proud across the water, while above it, clouds drift into shapes that almost look like the Scottish flag.
I tried my best to capture its power and elegance… but you know me — I couldn’t resist adding a little magic.
Just above the water, tiny glowing orbs float in the mist, as if the bridge itself might be a gateway to somewhere enchanted.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
