Daily Art Challenge - Day 174 of 365 - 21st August 2025
Today’s painting was one that had been waiting patiently in my sketchbook since I broke my wrist — and it finally made its way onto canvas.
With so many of you asking for animals, I knew it was the perfect time to bring this idea to life: a fox, calm and majestic, with his back turned to the viewer as he gazes into a mystical forest.
At the heart of the scene, a burst of magical light spills outwards, surrounded by tiny orbs of soft golden glow — like spirits of the woodland. The atmosphere is peaceful, almost reverent, a quiet tribute to the beauty of this creature and the mystery of the wild.
This one feels like a little window into a secret world

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
