Daily Art Challenge - Day 175 of 365 - 22nd August 2025
Well… today was definitely a process! Not every painting day runs smoothly, and I was a perfect example of that.
A lovely subscriber suggested I paint the Northern Lights — something I’ve done before — so I sat down feeling pretty confident. But nope! First attempt went sideways, I ended up wiping back my top layer of paint and starting over. Then, just to add to the chaos, I forgot to hit record and missed part of the process.
But here’s the thing: mistakes are often where the magic happens. In teaching myself a new technique along the way, I ended up with a glowing night sky filled with shimmering auroras in pinks, purples, blues, and greens. Pure magic in the end.
