Daily Art Challenge - Day 178 of 365 - 25th August 2025
Today’s inspiration came from a subscriber who adores pigeons and feels they’re often misunderstood.
By chance, I’d recently snapped a photo of two pigeons while in Glasgow city — the perfect reference for this request. I wanted to add a little of my own magic to the scene, so I painted them snuggled together on a branch, surrounded by leafy greens. Behind them, a warm golden-yellow glow lights up the canvas, creating that cosy, gentle atmosphere.
To complete the moment, I added soft orbs of light, as if the air itself was alive with warmth and quiet magic.
A tribute to these overlooked but truly beautiful birds.

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
