Daily Art Challenge - Day 179 of 365 - 26th August 2025
Today didn’t go quite as smoothly as planned! I sat down with a sketch all ready to go, but this painting definitely went through a long ugly stage before it came together.
But persistence paid off — and I absolutely love the final result.
Thanks to everyone who requested a hare. I painted it gazing up at the glowing full moon — a little nod to the magic of the Hare Moon. Surrounded by tall grasses and delicate flowers, the whole piece came alive in soft pastels, gentle and enchanting.
Proof that sometimes the struggle makes the finished piece even sweeter.

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
