Daily Art Challenge - Day 183 of 365 - 30th August 2025
We’re officially at the halfway point!
Today’s magical mini was inspired by a lovely subscriber suggestion: a sunset forest.
This one took me a little while to get to a place I was happy with — and truthfully, it’s not my favourite. But I guess that’s part of the journey — in 6 months of daily painting, there are bound to be a few pieces that don’t feel perfect. And that’s okay.
In this scene, a gentle stream winds through a grassy glade, framed by trees and scattered pink flowers. At the heart of the painting, the setting sun bursts like a glowing star, its light spilling across the landscape. And in the misty distance, hidden behind the golden veil, a magical city begins to reveal itself.
Not every day is about perfection — sometimes it’s about showing up, learning, and creating anyway.

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
