Daily Art Challenge - Day 184 of 365 - 31st August 2025
The last day of August — and the end of the first 6 months of this challenge!
Today I returned to my woodland animal series with a much-requested creature: the badger.
I’m so pleased with how he turned out.
He’s sitting quietly at the edge of a forest clearing, gazing into the magical light that filters between the trees. The grass below almost glows, scattered with tiny fireflies — or perhaps something even more magical.
I wanted this piece to echo the feeling of my earlier fox painting, and together they remind me of the children’s TV show Farthing Wood.
This makes number 6 in the series — just 3 more to complete the 3x3 woodland grid!
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
