Daily Art Challenge - Day 345 of 365 - 8th Feb 2026
Only 20 days to go now - that feels a little unreal.
Today I felt drawn back to the Scottish landscape, painting a wide, open view under a moody blue-grey sky. Rolling hills stretch into the distance, dotted with fresh greens and the browny-purple tones of fragrant Scottish heather, slowly giving way to warm ochre earth.
In the foreground, the heather becomes more detailed - pinks and purples layered with deep greens - as if the viewer is nestled right down in the brush, quietly looking out across the vast landscape beyond.
A calm, grounding piece and a gentle pause as this challenge edges closer to its end.
