Daily Art Challenge - Day 349 of 365 - 12th Feb 2026
This was not what I planned to paint today… but I woke up to our hills covered in snow! I can see them directly from my art room window, so I simply painted the view in front of me.
Snow-dusted hills rolling into fields and farmland below, with large trees scattered around the village. Because the canvas is so tiny, I chose to leave out the rooftops to keep the composition simple and uncluttered — although I may revisit that idea another time.
Scenes like this always make me think of something Bob Ross might paint… soft, peaceful, and quietly magical.
