Daily Art Challenge - Day 361 of 365 - 24th Feb 2026
I’m still grieving, but today feels a little softer.
Last night, I imagined that Blue had found her way to Echo, our other dearly departed black cat. In life, they were never the closest of friends… but in peace, I see them sitting comfortably in each other’s company. Close, but not touching - just quietly existing together.
I pictured them perched on a tree branch, side by side, looking out into the warm, golden glow of a heavenly forest.
Painting this brought a small sense of healing to my heart. A feeling that somewhere, somehow, they are both safe, calm, and together.
I think I’ve decided what I will paint for day 365… but as for the next three days, I have no plan. I’ll let them unfold as they always have - guided by feeling, by instinct, and by a little bit of magic.
