Daily Art Challenge - Day 362 of 365 - 25th Feb 2026
Today’s inspiration came during my morning dog walk, when I spotted a small cluster of snowdrops growing beside an old mossy tree covered in soft lichen. It was such a quiet, beautiful moment that I knew I wanted to capture it.
As this challenge draws to an end, I can definitely feel my creative energy running low. I think I’m craving the depth and immersion of a larger, more fulfilling project again. Creating a finished mini painting every single day for a year has been magical - but also mentally demanding.
There are parts of this piece that I truly love, especially the texture and richness of the moss on the tree. Other areas, if I’m honest, I would approach differently if I painted it again. But I also understand that loving every single painting was never the goal. Showing up, learning, experimenting, and continuing - that was the real purpose.
Even the paintings I don’t fully love are part of the story.
And with only a few days left now, I’m excited to see what tomorrow brings.
