Daily Art Challenge - Day 364 of 365 - 27th Feb 2026
Today, I knew exactly what I was going to paint.
One of the Mushwood characters - a member of the original Red Cap Mushwood gang - standing before an open doorway carved into an enchanted tree deep within the magical, mystical Faefern Forest.
I wasn’t sure which character would appear when I began… but as the painting unfolded, Pipkin revealed himself as the perfect choice.
Standing tall, holding his little pet leaf, he waits at the threshold while a warm, gentle glow spills out from within the treehouse. The rustic red wooden door stands wide open, quietly inviting you inside - a glimpse into the hidden world of the Mushwoods.
It may be the second-to-last day of my Daily Art Challenge, but the magic and mystery of Faefern Forest is only just beginning. The Mushwoods are waiting, and the door is open.
