Daily Art Challenge - Day 244 of 365 - 30th Oct 2025

Day 30 of Spooktober
This morning’s walk turned into something unexpectedly magical. I spotted what I thought was a dead frog lying in the middle of the path. I gently scooped it up, wanting to move it somewhere safe — but as I held it in my warm hands, I noticed the tiniest hint of a breath. So I stood there quietly, cupping the little frog, letting my hands warm it bit by bit.

After a few moments, it started to move — slowly at first, then stronger. Once it seemed ready, I found a cozy spot among a pile of fallen autumn leaves, and let it crawl off my hand. It didn’t jump away; it just nestled into the leaves, safe and content, as if it had found the perfect place to rest.

So today’s painting simply had to be a frog — a happy, smiley green frog perched proudly on a pile of pumpkins in all shades of autumn: orange, green, and creamy white. A little tribute to my froggy friend and to the small, quiet moments of magic that happen when we slow down and notice the world around us.

Perfect gift for any occasion .

All items are made in Scotland, UK

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
