Day 247 of 365
Daily Art Challenge - Day 247 of 365 - 2nd Nov 2025
Meet the Laird - King of the Mushwood
Yes, we’re back in Faefern Forest and introducing a brand-new member of the Mushwood gang - the first of the royal family!
Meet Laird Porcini, the wise and noble King of the Mushwood. A proud porcini (also known as cep, bolete, or penny bun), he may look a little rough around the edges, but his presence commands quiet respect. Thoughtful and deeply rooted in tradition, he listens more than he speaks and carries the weight of the forest - and his people - on his broad, steady shoulders.
He’s the father of two princesses - Princess Penny and Baby Princess Bun Bun - who will be making their grand appearance on canvas in the coming weeks!
I absolutely love developing these little characters and can’t wait to share more of the Mushwood royal family with you.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
