Daily Art Challenge - Day 248 of 365 - 2nd Nov 2025
Today’s painting was created in honour of a long-time subscriber’s mum — a request that truly touched my heart. From what I’ve been told, she sounded like such a wonderful, kind soul, and I knew instantly that I wanted to paint something special to celebrate her memory.
I’ve always found owls quietly magical — there’s something ancient and mysterious about them, a calm wisdom that feels deeply connected to the natural world. I also inherently associate them with winter nights, where the air feels crisp and still, and the world seems to hold its breath under the moonlight.
So today’s mini is a tribute to that sense of wonder — a serene, watchful owl glowing softly in the cool tones of the season.
