Today’s inspiration comes from Maggie (from Maggie’s line dancing class). On a recent trip to London, she spotted a wild thistle growing near a river—its striking presence standing out against an industrial backdrop. That quiet moment of nature amidst the grey reminded her of home.
I transformed that scene into a little oasis of wildflowers—the iconic Scottish thistle painted against soft grey-blue water, accented with joyful pops of yellow and white. A tiny slice of magic where nature meets the city’s edge, evoking warmth, contrast, and familiar comforts.
Thank you, Maggie, for reminding me that magic can be found in the most unusual places—even when far from home.
