Day 113 of 365
Daily Art Challenge - Day 113 of 365 - 21st June 2025
Today’s painting is inspired by the final (for now!) beautifully vivid scene shared by the brilliant FGAuthor from her fantasy novel:
“Ensconced in the snow-capped peaks of the Antheim Mountains, Barakzar lay sleeping. A fortress made from rising towers and bridges sits, built into the valley between the mountains. Lookouts perch from the summits surrounding them, overlooking the houses below. As far as the eye can see, the winter sun is reflected in a blanket of soft glistening snow, covering the rocky ground.”
For this piece, I leaned into a frosty, ethereal palette—cool blues, silvery whites, and icy shadows—to bring the sleeping city of Barakzar to life. A towering fortress, nestled in snow-covered peaks, rises gently from the valley, while sunlight dances across the cold landscape, making the whole scene sparkle with stillness and strength.
There’s something timeless and powerful about this one… a reminder that even in the quiet, there is magic.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
