Day 118 of 365
Daily Art Challenge - Day 118 of 365 - 26th June 2025
We’re so lucky in our village.
Each summer, the wildflowers bloom again—returning, year after year, as if they never left. The roadsides come alive with colour, growing wilder and more beautiful with every passing season.
On my walk today, I paused by a stretch of dark grey-blue fencing where the wildflower meadow was in full swing. Daisies, of course—cheerful and bright, like the unofficial flower of summer. But they weren’t alone. Buttercups, thistles, and even a few wild orchids were all tangled together, glowing in the soft light.
I couldn’t resist capturing that contrast—the riot of colour against the muted backdrop. Today’s painting is a love letter to that moment. To wild things that grow without asking. To the flowers that remind us summer is here.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
