Daily Art Challenge - Day 121 of 365 - 29th June 2025
Today’s inspiration came straight from the forest floor.
While out walking, I stumbled upon the most incredible tree—its trunk naturally knotted and shaped in a way that looked like it already held a tower of tiny fairy doors and windows. It didn’t need much imagination… the magic was already there.
Of course, I had to paint it.
There’s something about finding these whimsical details in the real world—nature creating the perfect starting point for a story. All I had to do was bring it to life on canvas.
This one felt like a little gift from the woods. A quiet moment of wonder, captured in paint.

All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
