Daily Art Challenge - Day 315 of 365 - 9th Jan 2026
What?! Only 50 days to go… that feels a little unreal.
This morning I took a few photos on my walk through the Scottish countryside, then came home and once again let my tester oracle prompt cards guide today’s painting. I pulled four prompts:
Forest Greens (my happy place),
Repeat a Shape — using vertical lines to echo the trees,
Glow Against the Dark — capturing the bright white sparkle of morning frost against deep, shadowy greens,
and Paint a Winding Path.
The icy path was already there in my reference photos, but the prompts encouraged me to make it more winding, more magical, and just a little more enchanted. I love how these cards gently push my choices while still letting the piece feel completely me.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
