After a long, wet, grey January morning walk, I came home craving a little sunshine — so I painted it instead.
As the brush moved and the colours bloomed, the clouds outside slowly lifted too, and before I knew it a beautiful winter’s day was waiting for me. Was it magic… or just the quiet power of painting?
Today’s piece is a spring-like meadow overflowing with life — lupins, roses, pansies, wildflowers, and tall grasses dancing together in joyful colour. It felt so refreshing to work with something vibrant and bright, a reminder that colour can change not just a canvas, but a mood too.
This one felt like food for the soul. It made my heart sing.
