Day 321 of 365

£27.50

Daily Art Challenge - Day 321 of 365 - 15th Jan 2026

Welcome back to Faefern Forest - and today, a brand new character has wandered into view.

I’d planned to paint Merriweather holding a letter, practising for my forthcoming magical snail mail club (little pieces of post sent all the way from Faefern, complete with a handwritten note from Merriweather themselves). But as often happens in this forest… plans changed.

Instead, a new Mushwood appeared, already clutching a letter of her own.

I have a feeling Merriweather has sent a practice letter ahead, calling in a little help with all the mail preparation.

This newcomer feels important - helpful, capable, and wonderfully whimsical. Her red-and-white spotted cap is taller than most, twisting and curling at the tip as if it has a mind of its own. She feels bright, clever, and quick - the sort of Mushwood you’d call on when there’s magic to organise and letters to send.

Now the only question is… what is her name?
I’d love to hear your ideas for this very special little pal.

Perfect gift for any occasion .

All items are made in Scotland, UK

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.

Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
