Daily Art Challenge - Day 322 of 365 - 16th Jan 2026
Today my brain was absolute mush… so I leaned into something gentle.
Last night, I sketched out an idea for the very first piece for my Magical Mushwood Postal Club, and today felt like the perfect moment to quietly practise the background. No pressure, no main character - just the calm of the forest doing its thing.
So here we are in a quiet corner of Faefern Forest: an enchanted tree with a fairy ring of toadstools gathered at its doorstep, as if they’ve always been there and always will be. No story being told loudly today - just stillness, soft magic, and that deep woodland hush that wraps around you when you need it most.
This one was fun, restful, and exactly what my tired January brain needed at the end of the week… and yes, the countdown continues (but who’s counting anymore?).
Sometimes the forest knows exactly what to give you.
