Day 324 of 365

£27.50

Daily Art Challenge - Day 324 of 365 - 18th Jan 2026

This morning’s dog walk felt a little strange in the best way - bright blue skies, drifting clouds, and that hazy January light that somehow feels sunnier and warmer than expected.

Along the path I spotted a tree whose branches, from a distance, looked completely bare. Not a hint of life. Just beautiful, twisting shapes silhouetted against the cloudy blue sky. I knew straight away it would make a perfect subject for today’s mini.

But as I stopped to photograph it, I noticed something magical. At the very tip of every branch, every tiny twig, was the smallest green bud. Quiet, patient signs of spring, already waiting - even though it’s still mid-January.

So today’s painting captures that moment of noticing. That gentle reminder that new life is always beginning, even in the heart of winter, if we take the time to look closely enough.

Perfect gift for any occasion .

All items are made in Scotland, UK

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.

Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
