Day 325 of 365

£27.50

Daily Art Challenge - Day 325 of 365 - 19th Jan 2026

Today is often called Blue Monday - the third Monday of January and supposedly the most depressing day of the year. And while I do find winter a challenge, and my mental health can dip during these colder, darker months, today actually feels… good. The sun is shining, and that alone makes such a difference.

Still, I couldn’t help but give a little nod to this moment in the year with today’s painting.

A blue forest with moody, darker edges - but at its heart, the tangled plants and leaves part to reveal a patch of sunlight. The blue softens into pale yellow, and tiny hints of petals and flowers begin to push through the gloom. A reminder that even on the bluest of days, light finds a way in.

So maybe it’s not such a Blue Monday after all.

And if you are struggling today - or this week, this month, or this season - please know you are not alone. Spring is coming. The sun always shines brighter after the storm.
You’ve got this.

Perfect gift for any occasion .

All items are made in Scotland, UK

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.

Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
