Daily Art Challenge - Day 335 of 365 - 29th Jan 2026
Can you believe there are only 30 days to go? Yesterday I shared a sketch I made not long after breaking my wrist, as part of my left-handed drawing practice. I’d drawn it for my daughter Molly, who gave me the idea of a cute bunny rabbit wearing a mushroom hat. When I looked back at it, I couldn’t believe I’d never painted it — and realised it was time to welcome a brand-new character into Faefern Forest.
Today’s painting came in two halves. I began it this morning, then had to rush one of our cats to the vets. Sadly, the news wasn’t the best, and I came home to finish the piece with a very heavy heart. I don’t feel the second half is my strongest work, and I think some of that sadness found its way into the painting.
Still, this little bunny is undeniably sweet and feels right at home in Faefern. Now she needs a name… We call my daughter Moo, so I’m thinking little bunny Moo Moo might be just perfect.
