Daily Art Challenge - Day 252 of 365 - 7th Nov 2025
Something a little different today - and if I’m being honest, a little more personal too.
Today wasn’t an easy day. Mentally, I’ve struggled a bit. It’s been a long time since I’ve felt that weight, but the endless juggle of building an art business, staying creative, and painting every single day caught up with me.
I’m still completely in love with this journey - truly - but sometimes it’s hard, and I think it’s important to keep it real and share those moments too.
But even on the hard days, art has a way of lifting me back up, and I’m really excited to share today’s painting with you. What might just look like a simple shelf is actually Pipkin’s Shelf - and it’s full of his magical leaf collection!
With help from my daughter and a lovely subscriber, we’ve decided that Pipkin doesn’t just have one pet leaf… he has many! Each one is special, with its own whimsical properties. Some might make you float, some might glow in the moonlight, and others might sing in the rain.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
