Daily Art Challenge - Day 260 of 365 - 15th Nov 2025
Still very much in my snowy winter era, today I felt called to paint the Northern Lights again — and this time I wanted a full winter wonderland to go with them.
A cluster of snow-covered mountains sits in the distance, surrounded by tall fir trees heavy with fresh snow. A few of those trees are already dressed for Christmas, decorated with tiny red lights glowing gently in the cold.
In the middle of a wide, silent field stands a little log cabin, warm and inviting against the vast snowy landscape.
Above it all, ribbons of yellow, green and blue aurora dance across the sky, their colours reflected softly in the untouched snow below.
Painting this felt peaceful, magical and a little bit otherworldly — a reminder that winter holds its own kind of wonder.
