If at first you don’t succeed… try, try again.
And today’s painting was the perfect reminder of that!
If you watch the time-lapse, you’ll see the false starts, the wonky shapes, the ugly stages - all the things we never expect to show up but always do. But pushing through them was so worth it, because the final piece turned out far better than I hoped.
Today’s painting features a red metal lantern, hanging from dense pine branches. Its warm golden glow lights up the deep green needles around it and makes the clusters of red berries shimmer as if they’re glowing too. Cozy, peaceful, and just a little bit magical - everything I love about winter art.
