Daily Art Challenge - Day 265 of 365 - 20th Nov 2025
Can you believe it? Day 265 - only 100 to go! The countdown is officially on, and somehow that made today feel like even more pressure than it needed to be. I got stuck for a while, wondering what on earth was “worthy” of a milestone painting…
But then, on my frosty morning walk, I snapped a photo of some beautiful hawthorn berries shimmering in the cold air. So that became my inspiration.
Today’s piece is a simple hawthorn branch, dusted with a little hint of snow, set against a soft, frosty winter sky. And then - because I couldn’t resist - I added a wee robin perched delicately on the branch.
I’ll be honest: it’s not my best bird painting, but the atmosphere?
That gentle, crisp, winter stillness?
I think I captured that perfectly.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
