Daily Art Challenge - Day 266 of 365 - 21st Nov 2025
Can you believe it? The countdown really is on now - every day feels a little more exciting!
And although I promised myself I wouldn’t go full-on Christmas until December… well… inspiration clearly had other plans today.
The only thing that felt right to paint this morning was a Christmas gingerbread house nestled deep in a winter woodland. And of course, no magical winter scene is complete without a snowman, so a whimsical one appeared right beside it.
Warm glowing light spills from the windows, the little red door looks utterly inviting, the roof is thick with sugary snow-icing, and a tiny wreath hangs proudly on the door. A miniature Christmas tree stands at the steps, dusted with snow and sparkling with that early-season magic.
Sometimes you just have to follow where the paint wants to go - even if it takes you straight to Christmas before December.
