Daily Art Challenge - Day 279 of 365 - 4th Dec 2025
Today’s painting is all about festive simplicity.
On my morning walk, I spotted a little pinecone nestled in the frosty grass, as if it had chosen that exact spot to rest for the season. It looked so perfectly placed — like a tiny woodland offering — that I knew it had to be today’s inspiration.
So I painted it just as it felt: simple, joyful, and quietly festive. A single pinecone with sprigs of needles, a trio of holly leaves and three bright red berries, all set against a cheerful yellow background. A few playful splashes of paint dance around it, as if the forest itself gave it a celebratory shake.
Nothing too fancy… just a small reminder that even the simplest things can hold a little bit of Christmas magic.
