Day 280 of 365

£27.50

Daily Art Challenge - Day 280 of 365 - 5th Dec 2025

Today we wander back into Faefern Forest… and this time, we’re getting a little closer.
Hidden between two silver-barked elders sits one of the enchanted trees — a cosy little home carved deep into its ancient trunk, glowing warmly against the winter chill.

Its bright red door looks especially festive today, dressed with a tiny wreath that sways gently whenever a woodland breeze drifts past. A small white Christmas tree stands proudly on the doorstep, sparkling as though dusted in fresh frost. Garland drapes softly along the windowsills, and strands of fairy lights weave through the branches above, twinkling like shy stars.

I can’t help but wonder… which Mushwood calls this place home?
Is it Pipwick the lantern-maker, always tinkering long after dusk?
Or maybe Mossie, the herbalist who brews teas that smell like pine needles and comfort?

Whoever lives here, they’ve settled in for a season of warmth, light, and quiet magic — and painting this little scene felt like stepping right up to their doorway for a visit.

Perfect gift for any occasion .

All items are made in Scotland, UK

Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display - a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.

Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
