Daily Art Challenge - Day 19 of 365 - 19th March 2025
Today’s painting was another practice session with the Bokeh technique—a painting and photography style that creates a soft, blurred background with lots of little circles, while keeping the foreground crisp and sharp.
For this piece, I painted a wild flowering currant I found in a hedgerow. Its deep pink blossoms seemed to glow in the spring sunshine, standing out against the bright green foliage.
I’m really enjoying exploring this technique—it adds such a dreamy, magical feel to the scene.
