Daily Art Challenge - Day 190 of 365 - 6th Sept 2025
I’ve had so many requests for hedgehogs as part of my Woodland Animal Collection — including a special one from fellow artist Caroline West.
For a while I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to paint them… until a subscriber suggested placing them by a woodland stream.
So that’s exactly what I did today. Two little hedgehogs, one on either side of a babbling brook that winds its way through the trees before disappearing into a soft, magical light. Around them, glowing orbs float gently between the trunks, adding that touch of wonder I always love.
This piece feels like a sweet little story unfolding in the forest — two curious hedgehogs meeting by the water’s edge.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
