Daily Art Challenge - Day 192 of 365 - 8th Sept 2025
Today I dipped back into a prompt from the wonderful FG Author on TikTok.
It’s been a while since I last painted one of these, but I want to complete another two so we have a full grid of nine.
Here’s the line from her book that sparked today’s magical mini:
“The Blackwoods towered around them, spindly and creeping they rose to the sky. The forest floor was springy underfoot, boasting a thousand leaves of black, each a different shade. Roots tangled across the earth, their dark charcoal spreading across the earth like spiderwebs.”
From that eerie and beautiful description, I created a moody, enchanted woodland scene — twisted trees stretching into the sky, their roots like dark webs across the glowing forest floor. A mysterious light breaks through the gloom, adding just a hint of magic amidst the shadows.
I love how prompts like these push me in new directions while still letting me weave in that Elm & Bee magic.
