Day 193 of 365
Daily Art Challenge - Day 193 of 365 - 9th Sept 2025
A new subscriber asked me to paint another sunset seascape — this time with a cliff — and it felt like the perfect opportunity to revisit one of the very first prompts I ever painted from FG Author.
“A hidden door, built into the fading rock of a forgotten cliffside. Moss creeps along the stone, obscuring ancient runes etched into its surface. The door stands slightly ajar, revealing the entrance to a darkened corridor beyond—mysterious, magical, and filled with story.”
I painted this scene months ago, but if I’m honest… I never felt fully happy with how it turned out. Today gave me the chance to try again.
This new version feels warmer, softer, and more in line with how I imagined that magical cliffside door. Sometimes a second attempt brings you closer to the vision you had all along.
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
Perfect gift for any occasion .
All items are made in Scotland, UK
Painted on a mini 7cm x 7cm stretched canvas, this piece comes with its own little wooden easel for easy display — a tiny treasure to brighten any corner.
Thank you so much for your interest in my art, I hope you love it as much as I love creating it.
