Daily Art Challenge - Day 201 of 365 - 17th Sept 2025
Today’s magical mini was inspired by another reference photo from the Free Photos for Artists group — and what a beauty it was!
A glowing full moon, surrounded by drifting clouds touched with warm orange and red, rising above the shadows of autumn grasses and plants in the foreground. I kept this piece as close to the original photo as possible, because honestly… it already looked magical.
The photographer told me it reminded them of a portal — and that standing in the freezing cold at 2am to capture it was worth every second. I completely agree, and I’m so grateful for their efforts in sharing this moment.
Sometimes nature hands us pure enchantment, and I love being able to bring that onto canvas.
